I want to recommend Jean Moss as the best realtor in Lubbock. My wife and I decided to buy a house after renting in Lubbock for eight years. I was about to graduate from medical school and had been accepted to the residency program here in family medicine. We talked with a couple of realtors at other companies, but they did not seem extremely interested in helping us and were boring. Jean seemed excited about helping us find a house. We were looking in the 70 to 80 thousand dollar price range; and even though she had recently sold houses worth five times that, we felt like we were her most important clients. We looked at about 20 houses and had a great time. We also made her look up information on about 50 other houses that we had driven by and were curious about. We kept in contact over the phone and through e-mail. When we finally found the house we wanted, I felt very fortunate to have Jean on our side instead of the seller's. She helped us with the bid process and kept us from paying too much just because we loved the house. She took care of all the inspections and title work so I was free to concentrate on graduation and our new daughter. Basically, I just want everyone to know that buying a house can be a lot of fun and Jean seems to share that feeling. Just wanted to drop you a note concerning one of your realtors, Jean Moss, who recently helped us sell our home. Without question, she made this usually very stressful time in people's lives work out as smoothly as one could imagine. She went far above and beynd the call of duty is assisting us in the sale of our home. Our home sold in approximately 2 days from the time it was listed and we even got more for it than we asked! Due to circumstances, we had to be out of town from the time it was sold to closing. Jean stepped right in and basically worked out for us all the details for repairs that needed to be made as well an insure that everhing was in order and well taken care of prior to closure. She kept in contact with us across the county (we were in Montana) throughout the process keeping us abreast of the details. She exemplified the utmost of professionalism and will be the standard to which I compare our future dealings with people in real estate. We recently had a wonderful, though sometimes challenging experience with one of your representatives, Jean Moss. She is the best! She took a tuff situation and turned it into success.. It took some time to get our RE situation handled, But Jean was there for us the whole time; consistant, reliable and involved in helping us. And to think we did it all mainly via the internet between Everett, WA, Berlin(Germany) and Lubbock, TX. Amazing! This is basically what happened... My sister and I had just gone through processing the emotional and monetary ramifications of our father's death. His house that we inherited stood alone in Lubbock, TX, needing only to be sold and we had no idea how to get this done in a timely way. At first we dealt with a real estate agent who's only interest-it seemed-was to make her percentage and not really focus on our needs or out personal plans to continue with our lives in Los Angeles,CA and Everett,WA. So I got online(AOL) and started to search for an answer. I sent several e-mails to agents that could possibly help us since we were getting no where. The month's since our father's death were passing quickly. Well, I chanced across Jean Moss and from the first moment I saw her picture and description of how she does business. I knew I had found someone who could get us over this hump. It was really more like a mountain. Jean responded to my e-mail and later we connected by phone. She took our challenge and made it her own like no other person I have ever encountered. Not only did she extinguish obstacles that repeatedly presented themselves, but she did it prefessionally, efficiently and most of all, with a sense of caring and concern that I had never experienced. She got involved in our lives. Uncovered what we really needed as fellow human beings and not just a source for her commission. She got the house sold and now our lives can continue the we had intended. Jean is not just a real estate agent, she is a caring and loving soul who believes in what she does. If you are thinking about buying a house, there is one person in Lubbock you need to get to know better - Jean Moss. This house was going to be our third house, so we weere familiar with the process, but we knew nothing about the Lubbok area. I had my list of criteria and Jean showed us every house that matched our list. She is friendly, loves Lubbock, and makes you even more excited about moving to her town - the Chamber of Commerce should put her on the payroll. We spent a couple of days looking at houses, but none were "the one". Jean decided to drive us by a house that didn't meet our original criteria. She thought we might like it, even though she had only known us for a couple of days. I don't have to tell you which house we bought. After we made the decision, Jean handled all the details: contract writing, contacting the seller, and negotiation. Even though I had an idea of what I wanted in the contract, she made some aggressive suggestions - and the seller accepted them! We finalized everything a few days later with one cell phone call - I was shopping in Dallas, she was working to get us the house we wanted. Closing was effortless; she had everything taken care of in advance. Helping us transition to Lubbock didn't end at closing. Jean had called a few months later to invite us to lunch to introduce us to another couple that had just bought a house on our street with her help. Going through the Residency Match yields feelings of anxiety and uncertainty followed by the move to the unfamiliar and distant "city of choice". Nevertheless, medical residents and their families go through both of these potentially overwhelming experiences all at the same time. My husband and I survived the intimidating event of "Match Day". Since I used to be in real estate, I am well aware of the realtors who are part-time and once a house is listed they practically forget it. You never forgot it, and you made us feel like our listing was the most important one you had, although I know you had others.

Hello My name is Michelle Bayliss and I would like to share my story with all of you so that you will understand why I personally recommend Jean Moss to anyone who is looking to purchase or sell a home. Here is my story:

I am a twenty-five year old single mom supporting three small children on one income. When I decided to buy a house,I was not pre-qualified for a large amount-$56,000. Finding a well maintained house in a suitable neighborhood for raising my kids in was not going to be easy with such a small budget to work with. Nevertheless,that's all I had.

I actually started out with another realtor. I went to his office one time and we went over properties on the computer. The next week he wanted me to look at a house that was far out of my price range. I went,but was not too impressed with the house. He called me to follow up and I told him I would rather keep looking and that was the last time that I heard from him. I was appalled that he just dropped me like that. I understand that finding a house for me was not going to be an easy task, but I had trusted him and he let me down. I don't know why he decided not to help me,but my opinion of realtors after that point was not so great.

So,after that ,I started looking at houses by myself. Newspapers,internet,magazines,driving by....whatever it took. I would then call the realtor who was orininally showing the house(whoever's name was on the sign) and set up a time to meet. A few houses were okay,but all the realtors were almost a little too pushy and seemed to look at me as only a sale and did not seem to care about wheter it was the right house for me or not.

I finally decided I needed a realtor who I could work closely with and went to my bank home loan center to ask for any referrals. Cindi at ASB gladly recommended Jean Moss,without hesitation. After hitting so many dead ends,I was nervous about calling Jean or any realtor for that matter. I first had to leave a voicemail and I was pleasantly surprised when she called me back within an hour. That was exceptional service compared to what I had been dealing with!! So,we made an appointment to meet and the ball got rolling.

I went to her office and told her what I had to work with and asked her if she would be willing to help me. When other realtors had acted that I was wasting their time,Jean gladly accepted me as a new client. We both started looking at houses right away. I was ready to buy and having a committed realtor to help guide me was all that I needed. I work full time,but Jean was always so flexible with my schedule. We would go look at houses on my lunchbreak and sometimes have to rush through it,but she never complained. She even went to look at houses with me on a Saturday. There was never a moment when I did not trust Jean. She wanted a home for my family and me just as badly as I did. We talked to one another almost every day,whether on the phone or though email.

When my offer was accepted by the sellers,Jean immediately called me to tell me the good news. She was just as speechless as I was and I knew that she was genuinely happy for me. Jean walked me through my ten day option period and advised me every step of the way. I would've been lost without her! My closing was more than a month away and I called Jean almost every day for anything and everything. Thanks to Jean,everything was moving along so smoothly that I felt like it was just too easy. She truly made buying my first house a pleasure and I would recommend her to anyone looking for a new home.
